ABSTRACT

A number of major differences categorizes short science reports and major science articles. The major difference is length, which is often required to present a complex issue effectively and thoroughly. As we showed in Chapter 3, science letters, perspectives, and commentaries do not present their message with the complexity of a science article. If you study the examples in Chapter 3, you will see the differences when you compare those with the articles in this chapter. In addition, all articles should begin with a title that conveys the article theme or content and allows readers to know what to expect.
