ABSTRACT
Although an epilogue has the familiar meaning of being an ‘ending’, it is not necessarily so. ‘Epilogue’ carries the etymological meaning, ‘words that are attached’ (‘epi-logos’). It is also therefore possible to see an epilogue as offering an always-present excess: as being still in the middle. There are no endings (or beginnings), only flows. 323
