ABSTRACT
This case introduces the complexities of student-athlete transitions from the college sport and academic context to a different phase, and most likely a change in lifestyle, following their initial undergraduate experience. There are several elements in this case which are usual and customary for prospective graduates, including considerations for future sport participation, career development, and specific pathways to ongoing personal and professional development and growth. Uncertainty is a common experience for many students in their senior college year unsure of what the future holds. This case relates all these factors in a single scenario for readers to examine and develop their own conclusions about how they might respond to the issues presented.
