ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to understand the use of Independent Samples t Test as a test of two independent sample means. It also aims to understands the role of independent and dependent variables; and understands the concept of standard error of the difference between means as the average expected difference between two random samples from two different populations on a measurement. The purpose of Independent Samples t Test is to compare the difference between two independent sample means. The common use of t tests is to simply compare two means to see whether they are statistically different. And one of the common means comparisons is Independent Samples t Test. The purpose of Independent Samples t Test is to compare the difference between two independent sample means. In order to perform the independent samples t test, one can continuous date to produce the group means and one categorical data to make up the groups.
