Let us return to Rosenzweig once again. I would like to retrace Rosenzweig’s reconstruction of the word sacrifice and that empty word Opfer in the context of his “struggle against institutions.” (That phrase is cobbled from Rosenzweig’s correspondence with Buber. 1 ) Immediately, I would like to put forth the following four premises.
