Purpose To focus, in a practical way, on the different types of customer that may exist and identify customer value chains and indirect customers. (For example, a hospital might consider that its main ‘customer’ is the patient receiving treatment. The customer chain might include their friends and relatives. Other customers might include the family or referring doctor, insurance or health care company and so on.)
This activity is also particularly good for emphasizing ‘internal’ customer connections.
