Asia’s Food and Agriculture: Future Perspectives and Policy Influences

Agriculture accounts for about 30 per cent of total income and from 60 to 70 per cent of total employment in many Asian developing countries. Future agricultural progress therefore will play a crucial role in the economic development of these countries.
