ABSTRACT
My comments touch on several of the issues discussed by Odin Knudsen and John Nash: the influence of price and nonprice factors; the relationship between prices, aggregate supply response and growth; input subsidies and government expenditures on agriculture; price stabilization; protecting the poor during adjustment; agricultural protectionism; and the sustainability of reform.
