ABSTRACT

Theoretical tools reveal the workings of a specific concern. To address gender inequities, feminist thinkers crafted a tool to differentiate between anatomical sex, behavior and characteristics, and social identity. The aim of regular cleaning is to maintain a healthy, functional environment, and the aim of feminist practice is to remedy systems of inequity. Feminist gender theories state that the connections between sex and gender are more cultural than biological. Advocating for equality between men and women was the original basis of academic feminism, so it makes sense that gender and sexuality theories occupy a central place in feminist theory. Feminist Class Theories, such as Marxist and materialist feminism, address economic conditions. People often think class is just a matter of how much money one makes, the difference between rich and poor, or one’s place in society: working class, middle class, upper class. Race is also crucial to feminist theories.
