ABSTRACT
Professor P.N. Mathur’s death in 1993 deprived economics of one of its most distinguished members. During his career he published over a hundred papers, many of them substantial, pioneering contributions to various areas of economics. All his work was original. What he developed theoretically he proved empirically.
