ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses how to use the framework as a result of the way an organization initiates business process management (BPM) activities, and the project implementation scenario selected. It is more oriented towards business readers and users of the 7FE Framework than towards students. The chapter distinguishes between the three approaches to BPM and how this influences the way in which the 7FE Framework is initiated and used. Business processes are at the heart of an organization and require more than just lip service to monitor, manage and improve them in order to achieve high performance. Few organizations are unique. Most organizations face the same or very similar issues. It is important to realize that a proven structured approach will ensure that organizations are able to deal with difference issues and situations. The 7FE Framework must always be tailored to meet the specific requirements of any organization, the specific BPM activity and the organizational process culture and maturity.
