ABSTRACT

Macro concepts are general issues that project teams need to agree about for example, the nature of projects, the nature of the project and organization relationship, etc. Related cultural assumptions support a culture of partnership between Project Managers and Change Managers. While reviewing methodologies that propose to integrate Change Management and Project Management, it struck the author that any attempts thus far have only addressed the tip of the iceberg. Their focus has been on those things above the surface – targeting strategies, structures, frameworks and tools used by Project Managers and Change Managers alike. The integrated approach involves Project Management and Change Management joining forces and aligning on a number of key dimensions. Shared assumptions about internal integration define how the project team will work together and get things done within the project organization and when working across the broader organization. Project and Change Partnership methodology is not just a series of activities and work packages.
