The typical examples of English modifiers are adjectives and relative clauses. English modifiers can occur before the word they modify (e.g., in the case of adjectives, as in “intelligent Daniel”) or after the word (e.g., in the case of relative clauses, as in “Daniel who is intelligent” or “Daniel who studies math”).
