ABSTRACT

The coding and categorising of the data into demonstrable leadership qualities made it quite clear that they all relate to each other in various ways. The purpose to leave a sufficient gap between their last Authentic Leadership (AL) Development group day and the follow-up interview to allow for the natural atrophy that invariably follows many leadership development events. Congruent leadership includes self-understanding and self-management and confident leadership includes leadership confidence and clarity but also strategic leadership. The empirical, statistical and conceptual evidence presented throughout this book hopefully conveys a real sense of the impact this approach to Authentic Leadership Development has for individual leaders. Again, it should be remembered that the leaders who participate in AL Group Coaching are intelligent, experienced and motivated professionals who have attended the usual suite of Leadership & Development programmes, activities and events for much of their career.
