ABSTRACT

Victoria Chick is Professor Emeritus of Economics at University College, London, where she has held a position since 1963, having obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) from University of Berkeley. She is a co-founder of the Post Keynesian Economic Study Group and an honorary life member of the Association for Heterodox Economics. Her main research interests are in macroeconomics – in particular monetary policy – and the work of John Maynard Keynes, though she has written on a range of topics, including economic methodology and economics education. Victoria Chick was interviewed by Andrew Mearman at University College, London, in August 2017. A chap called Philip Bell, that people probably wouldn't have heard of, who spent a couple of years and was very much influenced by James Meade; he wrote a book on the sterling area, just when the sterling area was falling apart.
