ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book attempts to draw these contributions together, and does so by asking three central questions. First, are there any discernible trends or patterns in the adaptation and utilization of new ICTs by UK institutions and organisations? Second, can inter-group and institutional comparisons be made that indicate greater or lesser receptivity to the new technologies and what might explain such differences? And third, overall what have revealed to us about the prospects of a different style of politics on the horizon, are we on course to erosion of the established structures of liberal democracy, their reinvigoration, or, in fact, is it really the case that the more things change, the more they stay the same? The book addresses -what do the chapter’s project for the future style of politics and its institutional frameworks.
