ABSTRACT

My first step is to explain what I mean by a 'postmodern liberal theology'. Then I will identify five marks of a hberal theology for today. Thirdly, I will consider some of the connections between liberal theology and liberal education. Finally, I will set forth elements of a transformative pedagogy tha t can be shown to have religious or spiritual implications, implications tha t are best appreciated, in my judgement, by a revisionary theological liberalism.3
