ABSTRACT

The exchange between Peter Hodgson and Elaine Graham is a rich one for those engaged in theological education in the present. Whether one is involved in formal or informal theological education, tha t is whether or not one's work is linked to the gaining of awards and qualifications by students, and whether it is in university, college, seminary, churchhall, living-room or elsewhere tha t this education takes place, the issues which the conversation raises are of the utmost importance. In this reflective response I want to do three things.
