ABSTRACT
This chapter analyzes the major aspects of changes in Kenya’s labor markets during the decades of the seventies and the eighties. The term ‘labor markets’ is used widely to include wage labor — sometimes referred to as ‘paid labor’ — as well as self-employed workers in the urban and the rural sectors.
