ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing remarks on the preceding chapters of the book. The book has recounted what has happened during those adventures over the past 30 years and also reflected on what it is about Herman Dooyeweerd’s philosophy that has been so fruitful. There are two main reasons why Dooyeweerd’s philosophy has been useful in research: it is well tuned to the fullness of reality, and it offers sound foundations. This is because Dooyeweerd adopted an unconventional standpoint and ground-motive which encourages radically different perspectives that bring new things to light. The book shows how Dooyeweerd’s philosophy can bring benefits for each stage in research. For instance, it can provide a clear picture of the fields of our research which is useful at the beginning of research.
