ABSTRACT
In chapter 1 the social accounting matrix, SAM, was introduced and analysed for one country, Colombia, for one year, 1970. This chapter will extend the framework of analysis to the study of inter-temporal changes in the economic structure by contrasting the SAMs over time. For this purpose, two comparable SAMs for Colombia for 1970 and 1980 will be employed to extend the analysis.
