ABSTRACT

The new impressions begin to pour in on me... August 1. The day didn’t start out too well because the driver was an hour late.

This hadn’t happened to me yet, but I am told it is reasonably normal. What happened was that there was no one around to sign the card for the petrol (or to put it into American, the voucher for the gas). Hence we not only had to chase to Ibadan, but were about half an hour late for my appointment with Chief Dina in the Ministry of Finance.
