ABSTRACT
Students learn to: Articulate assumptions of each of the three major frameworks – virtue ethics, utilitarian ethics and communitarian ethics; Compare and contrast major ethical stances – including virtue ethics, utilitarian ethics and deontological ethics; List criticisms of each of the three ethical lenses; Apply the three different ethical stances in thinking through the ethical consequences of a particular problem or action.
