Drivertrainingforcompanycardriversisbecomingmoreacceptableinthe corporatesector.Thepresentstudyhasanalysedthereasonsforcompanies adoptingtrainingfortheircompanycardrivers.Itinvestigatestheefficacyofsuch traininginreducingaccidents .Thisstudyutilisedarangeofresearch methodologiesincludingquestionnairesurveysandpersonalassessmentofdriver trainingcourses.Telephoneinterviewswerealsoconductedwithcompanyfleet managersandcorporatedrivertrainerstoinvestigatethebenefitstodelegates. Identifyingtheforcesthatareencouragingcompaniestoadoptdrivertraininghas providedapictureofthepressuresthatareconvergingonthemthattheycannot ignoreinthefuture.Encouragingevidencehasemergedthatcompanycardriver safetycanbeenhancedbytrainingandbyadoptingaholisticapproachtosafety throughoutthecompany.
