ABSTRACT

Portrait sculptor. Born and lived in London, and was educated at Dulwich College. He married the artist Betty Maud Christian Smith (1899). He was elected FRBS in 1938, exhibiting mainly 1887-1935, and occasionally thereafter, with the RA, ROI, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, and others. His output consisted primarily of portrait heads and busts in marble or bronze (such as Sir Herbert Marshall, exh. RA 1914, bronze bust).
