ABSTRACT
The central issue examined in this book focuses on the role of proximity among companies for facilitating innovation-promoting learning. Responses to the following questions posed in the first chapter will be examined in light of the empirical evidence presented, and a Best Practice model proposed:
1. Do China's science and technology industry parks (STIPs) fit previous models, or do they present a unique model with Chinese characteristics?
