A Geoethical Solution to the Conflict Between Private and Public Interests in Xenotransplantation

The preceding chapters demonstrate that logical extensions of existing precedent support a right to xenotransplantation. Underlying the right is an outstanding need for xenografts to help save the lives of millions of people, and the compelling basic human need for health care. The right to xenotransplantation is constrained in three key ways: (I) respect for animals, (2) budget, and (3) public health concerns.
