ABSTRACT

People, even prominent people, whose views are sought out by journalists are all too often unprepared and unskilled in dealing with media personnel and lack the confidence to look for and exploit opportunities that are available to them. This is at a time when the public is accustomed to a high standard of presentation by media professionals. These journalists are not only skilled at their job, but they have all the appropriate equipment and are backed up by support staff ready to prompt them through their concealed earpieces if they suffer a momentary lapse.
