ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book measures sustainability within a development context, and it is hoped that it will be of interest to local grass root communities, development practitioners, academics, students and development partners. It explores briefly some of the common themes in agricultural sustainability. Rather than give the reader a complete overview of this topic, something beyond the ability of text such as this, it will instead concentrate on the aspects associated with the findings of the study. The book presents the methodology employed throughout the research and explores the reader an overview of Eroke. It shows the richness and diversity of life, and by doing so it is hoped to thus provide the reader with a socio-cultural. The book analyses economic context within which agriculture.
