ABSTRACT
The failure of PH to be the necessarily true principle which one would need in order to make a case for the claim that particulars are individuated by means of their properties can lead one to look for an alternative principle of individuation, perhaps even to think that numerical diversity has nothing whatever to do with qualitative diversity.
