ABSTRACT

This book is about how to develop as a teacher in any kind of school for ­learners of any age. You may be experienced, newly qualified, training or thinking about becoming a teacher. My aim is to offer you ways to take stock, consider practical options, plan, experiment, reflect and still have time and energy to lead your life. I use research, practitioners’ ideas and examples of policies and protocols to explore intuitions and experiences that make for satisfying and effective teaching and learning.
