ABSTRACT
This chapter functions as a bridge between the theoretical part and the empirical case study of this thesis, by introducing the institutional response to the ecological challenge, the environmental global governance. Specific attention is paid to the environmental security actors who refer to environmental security in order to determine whether their activities in this field show similarities and, as a consequence allow us to talk about the implementation of a dominant interpretation of environmental security.
