ABSTRACT
Although most EWCs are still engaged in the search for an appropriate strat egy on what remains the novel and largely unexplored terrain of European transnational activity - with its associated new tasks and challenges - there are a number of indications, both qualitative and quantitative, to suggest that transnational enterprise-based structures are beginning to emerge and are lending momentum to the Europeanisation of industrial relations.
