ABSTRACT
The present chapter examines the physical performance of state-owned electric power and telecommunications industries by using a set of physical indicators listed in the previous chapter. Although the primary concern is the study of the overall efficiency of these industries as a whole, analysis at firm level is also conducted because the firm, being an integrated company in all its functions makes its decisions on the basis of technical, network-wide and market considerations.
