ABSTRACT

The epoch of world revolution constitutes a new stage in the revolution; it covers a whole strategic period which may occupy years or even decades. A temporary equilibrium or balance has been established between these two stabilisations. This equilibrium is the characteristic feature of the present international situation. Revolution passed through two stages in the course of its development, two strategic periods, and then, after October, passed into a third stage, a third strategic period. Since the October victory we have been living in the third strategic period, the third stage of the revolution, during which our objective is the overthrow of the international bourgeoisie. It is difficult to foresee how long this period will last. Certainly it will cover a goodly span of time, and we shall witness a succession of ebbs and flows in the revolutionary tide.
