ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on whether a new feminine become established, dominant and castrating as seen in a particular scene in Her, cloaked by the enticement of seduction towards an increasingly weak and disoriented male. A brilliant young woman, the object of her parents' narcissism, who succumbs to the mutual fairy tale of marriage with someone she believes different; a mature professional dedicated to maintaining the frame of a marriage she has made the fulcrum of her life; a talented illustrator who gladly stays in the shadow of a man who deceives her; an ageing plain Jane whose greedy eyes alight on an impossible object to redeem an existence spent on the fringes. The most conducive path of sublimation and creativity has been excluded, the only resources in this drama for which "a person may struggle with traumatic interior constellations transforming the trauma into works of art".
