ABSTRACT
This chapter presents univariate techniques for statistical hypothesis testing and is divided into two sections. The first section presents non-parametric techniques for dealing with nominal level data. This section includes the calculation of Chi-square statistics and other approaches to contingency correlation. The second section deals with parametric tests for comparing means between contexts, including Student’s T-test, the ANOVA test, and other varieties of the analysis of variance.
