ABSTRACT

Consider ending a show when: we have said what we have promised to say; the numbers of live viewers starts to tail off; and the comments and questions start to tail off. After delivering our prepared content, we may want to take some questions and open up the floor to comments, but the trick is not to get too distracted. At the end of the show, consider: a summary of main points, encourage late-comers to watch the replay from the start, and a call to action. Remind people of who we are and what we do, how people can follow us or get in touch in 'real life'. This is another chance to build our relationship with them. Having a surprise at the end of the show, or teasing during the show that there will be a 'reveal' or 'extra content' or a 'bonus tip' will increase the likelihood that people will watch to the end or tune in more regularly.
