ABSTRACT
There is, when it comes to basic socio-economic factors, no essential difference linking the rural with the same kind of global and national forces and structures as the urban. In complex interactions with the international, national and regional, general and urban systems, providing their profiles of resources stays in compensatory and combinatory contributions. Basically, however, the distinction of the rural and especially the rural periphery is found in situational and distance-determined catalytic effects and in the fact that most often triggers, causes and causality, decision-making etc. for these processes are found in places far from areas usually investigated. A number of important economic functions are covered in this section.
