ABSTRACT

Magnetism is a long-term commitment that requires charging every now and again. Becoming magnetic is a lot like creating a garden. In the beginning, it feels like a lot of work. One of the best ways to keep the magnetic charge is to hang out with like-minded people. These are leaders who are similar to people in that they are looking to improve everyday. They are willing to challenge themselves to be better than they even thought was possible. Mastermind groups offer a combination of brainstorming, education, peer accountability, and support in a group setting, allowing one to sharpen the business and personal skills. Participants challenge group members to set powerful goals and, more importantly, to accomplish them. They support people when they are down and they are there to celebrate with them when things are going well. Leadership is a journey. For the magnetic leader, retirement is an interim step with endless possibilities.
