ABSTRACT
The author has identified seven irresistible traits of magnetic leaders. Authenticity: people naturally trust those who are authentic. So, admit you don't know everything and be truthful; Selflessness: magnetic leaders put the needs of their people first; Strong Communication: Magnetic leaders are strong communicators. When they speak, people listen; Charisma: Charismatic leaders are artists who paint a picture of what journey might look like, inviting others to step into the frame-and they do so in a way that is irresistible. Charisma can be acquired and magnified by exuding confidence and expressing positivity; Transparency: as leaders, people have to develop a culture where people aren't afraid to be honest and real; Vision: magnetic leaders are known for their ability to create a shared vision; Resilience: Leadership requires courage to confront uncomfortable realities, faith that there will be a solution when one isn't immediately in sight, and the resolve to carry on in spite of the feeling that the situation is hopeless.
