ABSTRACT

This chapter presents key components of your “look,” beginning with an assessment of the shape and features of your face. As a performer, you must learn how to control the muscles in your face; in effect, to smile when you don’t feel like smiling. Your complexion and hair are perhaps the two key components of your appearance that you may be able to improve and transform. Other suggestions for how to improve your look include the topics of height and weight control, clothing, and a discussion of cosmetic and medical options. You are encouraged to conduct a self-analysis, scrutinizing each of these key elements. Though everyone has areas in which they might improve, your own attitude, displayed as confidence, may be the best feature you can develop.
