ABSTRACT

Television is a team sport. In order to show one person on the television screen, it takes a group of people with specialized skill sets to make it happen. Each member of the team has a role to play, with the same goal—to make the performers and the organization they represent look their very best. A thorough understanding of each of those jobs will come with time, but only if you make an effort to understand how each task contributes to the final product. Each person is important to your performance, and they will have more respect for you if you become an engaged part of the team. It is important to feel comfortable in a studio setting, and this begins with being familiar with the equipment, the people, and the procedures that make up life in the studio.
