ABSTRACT

In the world of group dynamics there is a notion called the Abilene paradox. The story goes that a bunch of people were hanging around in the sweltering heat of Texas, saying, “What do you want to do?” The response was, “I don’t know, what do you want to do?” and it went around in a circle like that until everyone agreed they would drive to Abilene, although no one really wanted to do that.
