ABSTRACT
“We are desperate for someone to lead this group.” So said the big-time executive. The company is in deep trouble and needs a person to lead the way out of the woods through a new initiative. There are thousands of worried people inside the company ready to do anything to save it. There are millions of people looking for a job, ready to join the company even if it is a sinking ship. How hard can this be? I thought. It was hard.
