ABSTRACT

Studies are done every week about what makes someone special at work. Even more than special, we are talking about remarkable! To paraphrase thousands of studies, here is what remarkable people do:

Remarkable people ignore job descriptions. They do whatever it takes, regardless of role or position, to get things done.

Remarkable people are eccentric. People who aren’t afraid to be different naturally stretch boundaries and challenge the status quo, and they often come up with the best ideas.

Remarkable people are generous. They recognize the contributions of others, especially in group settings where the impact of their words is even greater. They give help and advice. They are mentors and teachers.

So if you ignore things, and are eccentric and generous, congratulations, you are probably making a big impact. Keep pushing.
