ABSTRACT

The workplace is governed by buttons. When you arrive at work the first button you might push is the close-the-elevator-doors button. (If you don’t know by now, 85 percent of those buttons are not connected to anything.) Then there are all those buttons on your phone calling out to make you more productive or play a game. The coffee machine is full of so many buttons that make it look like a nuclear reactor. To actually get coffee produced is a small victory over technology.
