ABSTRACT

The currency of venture capitalists is deals. Deals are what VCs see all day, every day. The deals dictate the success or failure of an investor. As an investor, I was preparing for my day with my assistant. Through the dark-tinged glass I spied three young guys in the parking lot. They were going over a PowerPoint presentation and rehearsing to each other, getting ready to meet with any of the hundreds of VCs in the surrounding buildings. I could see them but they couldn’t see me.
