ABSTRACT
Jack Sampson finally feels that all his hard work has paid off: he has just been named a physical education teacher and head eighth-grade boys’ basketball coach for Mingle Middle School in Cambridge, Florida. Being a basketball coach is something that Jack has always wanted to do, but it has taken a long time to become a reality. After Jack finished high school he was pressured into working on the family farm instead of pursuing an education in the teaching field. However, after 14 years he decided to go to college and fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a basketball coach.
