ABSTRACT

This chapter reiterates the six over-arching research questions addressed by this research. The key findings are summarised with respect to each question. The authors’ reflections on conducting this research are then discussed. This includes the limitations of the project being acknowledged and the possible reasons as to why significant impact was achieved by this research are considered. The new Seesaw Model of Safeguarding is proposed. Topics to be explored through future research in this domain are also outlined through highlighting a need to understand the antecedents, operationalisation and outcomes of safeguarding in sport. There is now a global momentum behind work in this area, and hence it is now important for people and organisations to build on the platform provided by this project.
